For election - or upgrading - to the grade of Member you should hold: the Institute's certificate, or an exempting qualification, plus at least three years’ relevant experience; or the professional diploma, or exempting qualification, plus two years' relevant work experience, in the logistics or transport sectors.You will need to provide evidence that you meet the above criteria, either in a CV, or through the application form.

Candidates without a relevant qualification, but with management responsibility over an extended period – at least five years – may also submit a portfolio of evidence for consideration.
